Lletty Ann Wynn is the first Fraithwen cottage. It was built in the 1720's and we renovated it in early summer 2018. We opened it to guests at the beginning of August that year and it has proved very popular ever since!
The cottage is a small Welsh longhouse, set in its own grounds and paddocks, south facing with clear views. It is completely private, and has a hot tub in a secluded area to the side of the front lawn. The front of the house is a lovely sun trap and perfect for spending lazy days just relaxing away from hustle and bustle. Many people who come to stay do so for the peace and tranquility and just want to stay around the cottage.
Our farm runs on renewable energy, consisting of a huge Solar thermal system, a large biomass boiler and three pv systems.
We have a Tesla EV charging point and will soon be fitting another type two charger, for the free use of our visitors.

Things to do in Mid WalesYou can do as much or as little as you like during your stay here. If you decide to head out, the incredible west Wales coastline is an hour away with numerous pretty seaside towns to visit; Aberdovey, Barmouth, Aberaeron to name a few.
There are numerous castles within close distance; Powis Castle (pictured) is only 14 miles away, and others include Harlech, Montgomery (pictured left), Chirk, and even Ludlow just over the English border. The amazing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct world heritage site is 35 miles away (an hour) or you can visit King Arthurs Labyrinth, the National Cycle Museum, or the Powysland Museum for more local history. There are endless walks in the area, around stately homes, along the Montgomery canal, over the open hills, round the lakes, or around the pretty towns in the area. |

Gaynor’s place is the perfect country retreat, we cannot recommend the property or the host enough. The cottage has all the amenities with lovely personalised touches, is very clean and lovingly restored and the hot tub is a great addition with beautiful views, not to mention the bbq and indoor log burner.
