Luxury 4 star self catering accommodation and carriage drives
Welcome to Fraithwen!
We are Gaynor and Ian, and we spend our lives working, living and relaxing here on our beloved smallholding. It is a constant labour of love, and we welcome visitors here to our tranquil and private accommodation or to enjoy our horses with us. Our home was built in and around 1720, and we believe that heritage gives the place a feeling of peace and happiness that is tangible.
We also support our friends and business owners locally in every way we can.
Local Means Local
(Or rather, lleol means local)
We go out of our way to showcase the best of Welsh brands, because we want to be one of the best Welsh brands. When at Lletty Ann Wynn, we want you to experience and appreciate all things local; our furniture is mostly Laura Ashley (her factory was at Carno 7 miles away); our coffee is Coaltown, our tea is Morgans Brew from Berriew; even our welcome chocolates are from down the road at Caersws, the lovely Coco Pzazz. We love bigging up our neighbourhood businesses too, including our local pub - so please let us know if you want any recommendations during your stay.
You Can’t Please Everyone...
... but we try our best nonetheless. We understand that not everyone holidays the same. Some people like to stay in the cottage and warm up by our cosy log fire or in the hot tub; some people like to spend the entire time exploring the stunning welsh outdoors. Some people like to cook in our full equipped kitchen; some people like to take it easy in the local restaurants and pubs. We’d like to think that Lletty Ann Wynn has something for everyone. We have WiFi and a TV, but also the hot tub and oodles of recommendations for outdoor walks or activities. Oh, and did we mention our other passion, Fraithwen Friesians? We love nothing more than taking our guests out in the carriage with Jurre and Teun - just ask for more information. When it comes to guest interaction we are happy to have as little or as much as you like. We give you complete privacy during your stay if that's what you like, but we’re a friendly bunch and are generally to be found somewhere on the farm, so just say hello!
